Hi All,

I have a 90' Vert -- When I start the Corvette with the AC on the car wont run. When I turn off the AC and then start her up - shes good to go.
When the car is in motion the AC works fine and the car stays running.


Do most of you believe this is a Battery or Alternator Problem?

The Battery doesent appear to be old, neither does the Alternator-- sorry dont have exact dates of purchase for those 2 --- 3rd owner.

All and any suggestions will be greatly appreciated -- Thanks again Fellas

Are you saying the engine will fire off (with the A/C already turned on) but it immediately dies? How about if you give it some gas the moment it fires off? Does that help? If it fires off but immediately dies, it sounds like you have an idle air control motor problem.

I would agree with too broke, don't think that it is the battery or alt.

Its like the cars touchy - if its been running and then shut off, and then you turn it on with the AC already on it starts up but....

If left sitting for awhile ( a few days ) she wont kick on unless the ACs off.

I doubt I have the ability to change an IAC motor myself so Ill have a pro look into it but thanks to you guys I know where to point him!
