I am budgeting around $600 soon to do a mod that will get me lower temps, would that be a water pump, radiator or some combo of other smaller items?

I second the radiator. I recently installed a DeWitts and I'm running about 195 now. Before is was 225.

A ran a test yesterday (drive through and IN-n-OUT Burger) and while now significant rise in temp I determined I need my fans adjusting.

Look toward the bottom of the list here:

They have models for Auto/Manual. With or without EOC/TOC...

Another thing to note: look through the forums for messages about thermostats, etc. You don't want your motor running too cold because the oil needs to reach a certain temp to be effective.

The big thing about radiators, EOC, etc is that they can KEEP-UP with the engine's needs under heavy load...

So, your use of the car IS a factor.

Contact Steve@RSD or Robert@RSD, they sells awsome radiators and are not expensive compared to the others (and they are huge and work awsome!). If you do a radiator, thermostat, and get the fans reprogramed you will run A LOT cooler.

EDIT: Here it is on the website...

I put a double core radiator in my old C4 dropped, the temp down to 190-195 under all conditions they also get clogged up easily, cleaning may do the trick if your running stock

Tom,
I appreciate the questions you ask to help keep our customers informed.
Race Spoecialty Designs is indeed a sponser on this site as well as sevceral others.
Our shipping cost varies within the US, we always discuss total price before we make a sale to our customers.
Typically we ship our radiators UPS so we can track them.
Our radiators are built for us by a major radiator MFG here in the US. They build their own cores also.
These radiators are Tig welded by hand and pressure tested before they ship.
So far we have only sold Corvette Radiators with 1 1/4" cores, two of them!
I have not yet tried to count the fins......

We used to sell Dewitts radiators and were always pleased. Because we own and race our own corvettes as well as building some pretty tough Vettes for our customers, we know what vettes need to run fast and continue to run for a long time.
We made a deal with our current manufacturer because they allow us to save our customers some money without sacraficing quality at all.
I hope we can help this guy with his upcoming cooling system upgrade, possibly leaving him enough coin to change out his thermostat and re-program the fans so he can take advantage of the RSD dual 1 1/4" cores supperior cooling capacity.:thumbsup3:
