when i first bought mine i waved to everyone..only to find out some people dont wave back...so i stopped initiating the wave...and i never see anyone wave first.

I try to when i see them. But with my eyesight getting pretty bad (lost my right eye to glaucoma) i have to watch my side of the road a lot closer and don't see many untill they have passed the point of my being able to wave in time...but i still do hoping they see it in the mirror.

I always wave, but sometimes I forget I am in my Explorer instead of my Vette and I get some odd looks back....

I've only had mine for 8 days, but I've already noticed that the Corvette Wave exists. I definitely wave.

I like what happened to me today, went on an extended cruise for the first time since i bought it. KIDS....little kids in the back seats of Mom or Dad's car....smiling and waving like crazy.....I love it....even pre-puberty kids "get it". You gotta love it!

I always flash the "V" sign to any Vette I see. Doesn't matter in the least if I get a response.... I am proud of my Vette (86 Roadster, black w/tan soft top and interior) and thats my way of showing it! Happy Trails to All!

Since my Vette is not on the road yet, I think people think I am nuts giving them a wave when I am on my Harley.

I wave to every vette I pass on the street and believe it or not , Ive gotten more waves from C6 owners lately:sm_party:

We wave to every Vette we can safely, regardless of the year, etc. Some return it, some do not.

It's how you tell the enthusiast from the typical owner. The ones that truly appreciate the car and know what it's all about will wave back or initiate the wave. If they just drive it cuz they wanted a fast cool looking car then they're probably clueless as to why they get waves and won't return the favor. They're definitely the loser in the equation though.

Here in NW Georgia everyone waves. Road construction guys even wave.

I even waved to a VW Jetta yesterday although he didn't wave back, might have something to do with him trying to pass me on the right hand side on the highway and me showing him what my tail lights look like :rofl: :cheers: :burnout:

I wave at every Vette I see, regardless of what model it is. Around here, C4 drivers always wave back, as do most C3 drivers. I've gotten return waves from a couple of C5 drivers, but NONE from any of the C6's I've waved at. Had a guy in a C3 with the top off one day that nearly broke his arm waving at me.

I wave at everybody while driving, and give the thumbs up when I'm walking or at work. Rarely get waves back from C5 and C6 owners, and the lady drivers. :( Always from C4 and older.

I am new to having a Corvette, but have ridden motorcycles for many years, so I am accustomed to greating a fellow enthusiast on the road. Some return the wave; some don't. I can't do anything about the other guy/girl and what they do or don't do. But I don't have to let it effect what I do. If I see "em, I'm waving! :thumbsup:
