Whats the difference between for example Chevron, Mobile and smaller gas stations. I notice in many cases there is nearly 12 cent difference in price? I thought gas is all the same? Am I correct?

Good question and I'm sure Rick is correct. I use Kwik Fill locally and the car seems to pick up 15 HP compared to other gas stations around here AND they only use American Crude oil for refinning!!!!

Here's a website on companies that produce the "cleanest" gas that burn great and won't mess with our fuel sending units...

Out here the best is BP, Shell, and Mobil. The cheaper grades is the shat the the larger companies sell off.

SOTP yeah, Hell I can barely feel a 15 HP increase in a 350 RWHP car anyway.... BUT it does run smoother and seems stronger. All my other cars run better on it as well.

Its the additives and "special blend" of goodies they put into the fuel. I'm a Mobile and Chevron guy myself.

It's not a every day car at all it has too much power to drive every day and bsides it is very loud, as for the price of 100 oct. here in Vegas it is preety easy to get and it is 4.99 per. gal not to bad I think. I gas her up once every 2 to 4 months. It's an 01 with just over 20.000 miles. most of the miles were put on it befor I started doing mods, she has over 600 h/p right now and more to come.

I get my gas at QuickTrip, they actually guarantee their gas from harmful substances. It is a massive chain in missouri... I don't know what other states have QuickTrip but I know Texas doesn't have any.

I'm trying to think of the name of the gas station but we don't have Quicktrips in Cali, or I have not seen one? There is one gas station thats a small chain here that I can't remember the name, green and yellow are their colors. LOL like that is going to help!
