I have an 81 and even though the door locks seem to be working, the doors will not open. Bad for when you go out. HELP

Squirt something like P'Blaster (better than but similar to WD-40) into the moving parts. Best done with the interior door panels off, for access to all the moving parts. I've got a 78 and have had the same problem build up over the years. The mechanisms inside are so delicate (in function) that it doesn't take much crud or rust to cause a failure.

Right now for example, I have to open my driver's side door from the inside latch, the outside latch doesn't trigger a release, and my locking mechanism is "frozen", can't move it in either direction, but when I get some time, a couple of squirts of P'Blaster will free everything up.

This treatment should be followed up by some lithium grease (in an aerosol can) to maintain lubricity, 'cause the P'Blaster works great to free up sticky parts, but doesn't provide long term lubrication.
