I found another flaw with my new C5. I was sitting in the passenger seat for the first time while I was detailing the insides and found that the sun visor mirror was almost falling off of the sun visor. The mirror assembly seems to have a bunch of little round plastic tabs that press into corresponding holes in the visor to hold it in place. All but three of the bottom tabs have been broken off and the mirror assembly is very unstable. Is there any way to fix this? I have seen complete visor / mirror assemblies for sale on ebay however; I have not seen only the mirror for sale anywhere. Any ideas or suggestions?
One other question, what is the best car washing solution and wax to use on Corvettes?

Get some industrial strength Velcro. I used the cheap Velcro on my trunk liner & didn't work so I went got the industrial strength Velcro ,That worked great even in the heat which today was 113 here at home & Vette in the garage & open the trunk & it there were it is mounted .....................:patriot:

If the cost of the combo visor/mirror is not outrageous, I would go ahead and just put the new one in. As far as wash and wax products, I go with Meguiars. I own a carwash and we get a lot of info on different brands and Meguiars stands out. PH balanced soap is a must as it is easiest on your paint. Just stick with the major brands and you should be OK. Just don't use dish soap on your car! And yes, I only handwash my Vette.

I would guess that reattaching it would be very simple with some sort of adhesive.

Sounds good I think I will try the industrial strength Velcro first, if it remains a problem after that I will replace the whole thing. Thanks for the ideas.
The goal is to build it faster, stronger and louder than it was before after all we do have the technology.

When mine started to sag, or not stay up all the way I just got a new one, can't remember exactly what I paid for it but it wasn't much at all.
