Hints on wiring for going from HEI to Pertronix... [Archive]

I have a 76 stingray, removed a l48 non #s...
put in a 68 350 w pertronix and a two wire (red black) coil connection,...
Do I just hook up to the Red and Brown wire that the HEI is hooked to now, ( the resistor on the brown wire has come loose,) does any one know what the resistor load is, and do I need it for the pertronix ???
