I let one friend drive my Vette once with me in the passenger seat and watched as he stalled it twice and when he did get it going it was only after he rode the clutch hard and I could smell it burning. So, I do not let my friends drive my Vette, no matter who!!!!

My ex-tuner actually drove it a few times in the 3+ months that he had it doing the Supercharger and accessories install, but he'll never sit in it again, let alone drive it.

Ditto,
My wife is the only one who has driven it. She has driven it twice, and complained the whole time (she hates the vette anyway) while I was nervous as a cat. I have never had an accident knock on wood. She has had five, none in my vette thank goodness.

Oh yeah, if I had a friend that was a tuner I would, wait can he work on them too? Just incase he broke it, some tuners can only tune but ask them to change a spark plug and their like huh? lol

Well I do the work at the shop so I would most likely just get paid to work on my own car, but yea he knows how to work them if he has to.

I let just about anyone drive my vette. i've only been a corvette owner for about a month now and at least 6 other people have driven it. i've always been the passenger though. heck, i taught my brother how to drive a manual in it...

uh, no! My good friend offered to let me drive his Viper if he could cruise the vette, I informed him I had already driven the Viper when he called me to get him from the bar, sorry, no deal! (by the way, he was drunk when he asked)

I havent let any of my friends drive mine yet. There are only a few people I trust to drive it and most of them already have Vettes so I dont think they really care. I worked my @$$ off to get this car so Im not going to let just anyone drive it. I did "trade" Vettes one night with a friend though cause I wanted to drive his supercharged '03 Z06 and he wanted to drive mine.

You have to let a trusted friend do it once while you watch. You love your car now, but wait untill you see it pass you by while watching on the sidewalk.
Cars look and sound better when moving, and it show you how everyone else sees your ride:thumbsup:
