I have messages on display saying " service engine soon, service active handling, etc. drives me crazy. Techs say ignore. What's up with that?

I Would Be Concerned About The Etc. Part, You Could Have Some Serious Problems. The Active Handling Display Generally Goes Hand In Hand With Abs And Traction Control Problems. None Of Those Should Be Ignored On A C5.

The tech, or your personal tuner should be able to find and figure out the issue that is making the codes come up. Then they should also be able to modify of fix the cause to make the codes/lights not come back on, I would take it to someone that seems a little more knowledgable if it were me.

You know you have an on board diagnostic tool. Use it! Get the codes, write them down and get on the internet and figure out the codes. Then FIX the problem. Your mechanic is an idiot if he tells you, ohh just ignore it. Who they heck would ignore a check engine light. Next thing you know your motor blew up!
