The new Pfadt mounting system uses aluminum and delrin to create a split spherical bearing, unlike any other solution available. All Corvette dampers on the market use either a polyurethane or clevis mount. While both styles are functional, this Pfadt mounting system offers the ultimate in durability, weight savings, packaging, and range of movement. One of the coolest features of our new mount is that it removes several inches of wasted space in comparison to a clevis style mount. The photo below uses a coil over comparison to highlight the space savings of our spherical mounts. Our mounts allow maximum ride height flexibility and shock travel in the tight packaging space of a Corvette. Our mount does not consume valuable shock length and travel like a clevis style mount. :duel:

Weight

Our mount is 43% lighter than an aluminum clevis style mount. Our mount is ultra light weight because it does not need heavy steel bolts or a steel spherical bearing. The entire bearing surface is Delrin on hard anodized aluminum which allows free articulation and has extremely low friction.

Noise

The hard anodized aluminum and Delrin combination allows quiet operation and no noise. Our new mount retains a Delrin barrier between the shock and frame to reduce noise transmission from the road unlike a steel clevis which will transfer road noise into the car.

This upper mounting system is available for a variety of Pin Top Shock applications including Bilstein, Koni, QA1, Penske as well as O.E.M. Shocks. Here is some fitment information that you can use to determine if these will work with your Pin Top Shocks:

Upper Pin (Stud) Length Minimum: 2.25"
Upper Pin (Stud) Diameter: .450" or smaller

If I had the $ I would put your full set up on my Vette, it's the best! I drove in a Vette before that had your sways and adj shocks and what a difference!

Will these as well as the inverted shocks be part of the coil over system ?

I am hopefully going to be doing your bushing set up soon, would getting these also contribute along with the bushings or would that be considered overkill?:thumbsup:

These mounts were designed for a Standard Shock such as our Inverted Sport Shocks, Bilstein or Koni. The Coil Overs use a different mount and they have been included with the Coil Over System since last November. What are you currently running?

What shocks are you currently using? I think this set-up should be used on all Pin Top Shocks; it allows the damping to work much quicker as it doesn't have to take a set before the shock can work effectively.
