Hello,
My first post...I have a 2004 Vette ComEdition... the car has been sitting since 2004. My wifes uncle bought it b4 he passed away, and the gas never was never treated...car has probably less than 1000 miles on it...Now I need to get it going Posiiblly sell it, but need to remove the tanks and drain / flush the bad gas...Any help is appreciated....Anyone have a service manual or link to one a CD version is preferred...

I would just pump the stale fuel out using the car's own fuel pump. Hotwire the pump and hook up a hose to the return fuel line. Then pump the old gas into some 5 gallon cans.

Thats actually a good idea.I hear dropping the tanks is a real pain

I watched a friend drop his tanks and I would do everything I could to avoid having to do that!

You don't need to hot wire the pump. Simply take out the shrader valve on the end of the driver's side fuel rail (same as the valve on a tire) and hook a hose to it. Feed that into a can or something. As soon as you turn the key to "on" (but do NOT start the car) the fuel pump will pump out the gas.

2004 doesn't have a return fuel line.

Pump will only run for a few seconds before shutting off though.

5 year old gas is not the end of the world. You can fill it up with some fresh gas & drive the tank out of it. Just do not abuse the car as the old gas may have lost some octane quality.

Recently I got a car with 12 year old gas in it. It smelled a little funny, but ran fine.

I have seen your fuel systems in some Vettes before and a Goat, they look very nice and the owners love them.:thumbsup3:

Yes they are 100% streetable, while being able to flow enough for an 8 second ET. I think one just exceeded 152mph in the quarter.
