When I go to make a turn, my turn signal won't stay in place, I have to hold it while I go through the turn. Do I need a new signal mechanism or is this something that I can fix?

I would have to say that you are going to need to get a new turn signal unit, I don't think that you are going to be able to take it apart and fix it.
