How can this be done, is it absolutely necessary to have a tuner work on the car? I have this Hypertech Hyperpac hand held (never taken out of box), will this do what I need? I have a 2009 C6.

Don't do it, you need some Torque Management.

NO. Torgue managment can not be disable by any hand held I have seen. WeeZee is right would recomend disable it However it can be adjusted with HP tuner software. I do it on all my tunes. makes HUGE differance in throttle responce

I'm picking up one of those Hypertech or Diablo handhelds and researching around on tuning. Why would you want to removing torque management?

Because why would you go to all the trouble of adding HP when torque management will just keep you from putting it to the ground?

I removed torque management and it made a huge improvement.
