I don't own a Corvette, but my boyfriend in NY does. Over the last year he has started racing the car at drag strips and a few tracks. I'm late on getting him his gift this year, but would like to order him a new helmet. He just left here flying back to the states and told me that he lost his helmet. Where is a good place to get a helmet? Whats a good brand?

Thank you.

Arai or Shoei are good brands, mine is old and I need to get another one too!

I just spoke to a company called Helmet City, they recommended going with a Bell BR-1 $399 helmet. Where in Paris are you located? I get over to Europe about once a year, enjoy the scene and the autobahn is sure fun to get on!

I have owned Bells my entire life and they are really good. I have them for my dirt bike, road bike and for my auto!

Whats the speed or time that most tracks require helmet? Is that in the 12's or 10's?

Doesnt matter - if you go to the track you need a helmet.

For inside the car I would recommend an SA helmet over a M helmet. SA Helmets are designed for cars while M helmets are designed for Motorcycles. At the 1/4 mile they will most likely use either or, but if you decide to road race they will want the SA Helmet.
