I'm getting some loud noise from my clutch and think it might be the throw out bearing. I was wondering how much of job is it on these cars? My warranty is long gone. I've done clutch work in older cars but not on a Corvette.

Or how much would a shop charge to do this job?

Basically I've found labor to be about $1000 (10 hours). Parts are about $500.

You want to change:
Clutch
Flywheel
Bearings
Clutch Slave

You don't want to be changing the slave later for another $1k in labor. :nono: :nono:

The process requires total removal of tranny/diff/tunnel....

those numbers are about right (maybe higher at a dealer) - reason for the high price is you have to drop the rear axle and trans then the torque tube to get to the clutch - when all that is apart be sure to replace all those things listed above so you don't pay for the labor all over later.
