On my 00 Coupe, I get a thumping sound coming from the right rear of the car. The noise happens when I hit a bump or small uneven ground and only when my speed is at a constant. Constant meaning that I am feathering the gas pedal to maintain my speed. If I am off the gas or excellerating the noise is unnoticable.
After reading a few post here, I've eliminated the possibility of the top making the noise. Now the next thing to check is the swaybar mounts. Another post said something about the diff fluid may need to be replaced but doesn't seem to be the case here since the noise isn't coming from the center of the rear of the car.
I had already replaced the right rear wheel beaing due to a broken speed sensor wire. I also replaced the 4 shocks because I thought that could have been the problem making the noise.
Any help would be much appreciated. THX
