Anyone with an A/C license can easily change these components. Or you can for that matter, because it takes no special skills to change them. Only to charge the system.

A follow up to this thread concerning replacing other compnenets in the A/C circuit:

What's the sequence to replace the High Pressure hose/manifold assy, and the A/C accumulator/dryer on a '78. I've never had A/C because of a break in the weld on the HP/LP manifold at the compressor, and it looks like a bi-atch to get at the joint where the hose end connects to the rest of the system. Am I wrong? Do you remove the condensor housing, does this give you access to the connection point, and the accumulator/dryer connections? I've always been afraid to get into this one, but now I live in Las Vegas, and I'm really gonna need some A/C, especially with the "bubble-back" '78 I hope to soon be driving again.
