Hi one and all:
New poster here with a strange question.

I’ve got a 1994 automatic. Every once in a while sitting at a traffic light the engine kinda hesitates. Not throwing any codes, no service anything lights come on. Does it while it’s hot or cold only when sitting. The RPM’s do not move it kinda acts like it wants to stall, does not.

We’ve changed the plugs and then re-gapped to make sure all were correct. Have not changed out the plug wires.
Just finished cleaning the throttle body with specific spray, lots of black ick on the rags. Gas mileage is not suffering. Only 52,000 miles on the car. Daily driver. My baby.

Any ideas what this could be ? Any suggestions are really appreciated at this point in time.

Have a good 4th everyone and be safe.

I don't know much about the later computers or electronics, but I wanted to let you know you weren't being totally ignored. Best I can relate to your description is when my fan or something else kicks on and the engine slows momentarily under the load before the IAC can compensate.

RACE ON!!!

I agree with CFI-EFI. When your A/C clutch engages, there is a slight hesitation until the IAC motor can compensate for the load change.

Thanks for the help guys. My 89 didn't do this at all. She was a 6 speed and this one is an auto. Not sure if that changes anything. I appreciate it none the less. I'll just have to deal with the bottom out issue.

I actually turned on the a/c last week. It was 105 in San Antonio ! I'm usually running with the top down. It was just flat out HOT !

Have a terrific weekend and thank you both again.
