Let's cut though all the marketing, professionals: are catch cans a must to have or not needed? If you are saying yes, then what model are you suggesting?

If you are getting excessive oil in the intake manifold then you *need* a catch can. If you want it to integrate nicely with stock componentry it should be a closed system: no breathers. Most catch cans are designed similarly so unless it's simply a bad design most work quite well at keeping oil out of the intake.

I have one I picked up from LG last year, great mod to have IMHO.

If you use a closed system you will be just fine. Just remember to drain it. :D
