I got a 94 coupe and lately the display shows air bag and the service engine light.Plus I can be driving and everything is ok no issues at all and stopped at a light and it shuts off. Yet restarts fine and continues on no prob.Both lights come and go and the shutting off thing isnt always.Some days I can drive the car all day long without anything happening.I'm thinking it might be an issue with the CPU. Any ideas? thanks.

Took the car out tonight for a ride. nothing it ran as good as ever. The only thing I did notice is when the idiot lights come on the alt guage was up around 18 volts. It normally doesnt go that high which also indicates I might have an alt prob. and no I'm not running any high power stereo through the car, Its the stock Bose.

Should pull the codes.That will give a record of current and past faults seen by the ECM and CCM

Yes, 18V is enough to boil a battery and possibly cause some wiring damage.
