I have a '95 with the original climate control etc. I've had it for about a year and a half, and when I got it everything worked fine. Then a few of the climate buttons didn't want to work some of the time. Now it seems to be most of the time right now at least. The 'vent chooser' buttons work (upper vents, lower vents, or both), and a few others, but when I push 'off' nothing happens. It stays on whatever settings I have it at. A lot of the time as well I can raise the auto. temp. degree but won't let me lower it, and I can either lower the fan speed but not raise it although if I push the auto button between the two arrows it will raise it as high as needed on its own. Once in awhile all the buttons work fine. Are they all on one fuse or could that be part of it? I figured it was probably the relay board or whatever you wanna call it under the buttons going bad but I don't know much about it. Any thoughts or suggestions?

i am a newbie here, and am not to familiar with corvette heater controls. but i do have a silly question, did you just recently "clean" the controls? this happened to me when i cleaned the ac/heater controls on my town car, it had gotten wet, and needed to dry. a blast of compressed air did the trick. but again newbie to vettes and i could be way off base.

Common problem
Remove the control unit ; take off the rubber button pad and clean underneath with alcohol.Make sure all the buttons are free and working
If it was a fuse problem nothing would work

Ok well that's what I was thinking as far as the fuses, but I'll have to try taking it apart. The only cleaning I've ever done to it is just wiping it all off, maybe using some interior detail spray but don't think I sprayed that part directly. Thanks for the info.

The Control Head is going bad, Just remove it (Easy) And take it to your Local Chevy Dealer, They will exchange it for a re-man unit. Seams like the last one we did was $140.00 or $160.00. and about an hour of labor.
