okay, so i have done the break down to get to the distributor cap, i have removed the 3 bolts on the torsional damper. this where i am stuck. shouldn't the damper just come off so i can access the distributor cap or do i have to remove the hub also. or is the damper just rusted to the hub? is there a trick to this?

The damper needs to come off. Its just stuck. Carefully work it loose with a pry bar.

i doused it with liquid wrench last night hoping that was it. i will give it a try today.
