Is there such a thing? The never saw you coming came? I thought I remember seeing something about this some time ago. I didn't read the thread and can't seem to find where I saw it. Get the power but you can't tell from the sound the car has a cam.
Post up and give me your 2 cents. :patriot:

There are some mild cams out there but, I've not heard of a aggressive cam that doesn't have the sound?

?Why would you go to the trouble of putting in a cam if it isn't significantly more aggressive than what you have. There are a considerable number of mods that you can do without a cam that will give you a significant increase in power and torque. Improvements on both breathing ends give somewhere in the vicinity of 50-100 hp over stock - not shabby in anyone's book.

to install a cam w springs and upgraded rods 3 years ago used to be $2000, add a tune $500. Its gone up since then.
on your 2006 a 224/224 with a little more lift than stock and 115 LSA would sound stock w existing exhaust system. in fact COMP cams and various vendors advertise it as a stealth cam and you get about 30 hp. However 30 Hp for more than $2500 is quite expensive. In addition to that the power train warranty is voided.
the stock cam FYi is 204/211

50-100 hp over stock from breathing, what are you talking about that will give these results?

My understanding is that you can get that kind of power with stuff like long tube headers, high flow cats, cat back exhaust, CAI, CNC throttle body, L92 heads and matching intake. And, of course, a tune. Bills at FLP believes you can get 60 RWHP without the heads and intake, and you should add some significant power with those (AND they're a GM part - so a lot cheaper than FAST). I'm not a tuner, so I can't speak with real authority on these numbers, but I think they're roughly correct.

I have a Lingenfelter Gt19 Cam and heads in my '07 Z06 and it is definitely not stealthy!! Nice lope at idle and sounds like a monster at WOP. This is a mild cam too.

Lingenfelter makes some very nice stuff, what are the specs on that cam you picked up from them?

:iagree: This upcoming winter I hope to change out my cam and do something different with the heads.

The LPE GT2-3 is a "stealth" style cam...
As long as you are in the 219/225s range...It will be pretty mild...Depending on what specs.
Thunder Racing has a Stealth cam as well...
My suggestion would be to call comp and do a cam request. Then go from there...
Let me know if I can help!

Stealth cam takes all the fun out of having a cam?! Just my thoughts on the subject!
