I've been toying around with the idea of a nitrous set up on my '06. I had looked at some of those plate kits and wasn't 100%, then I was told briefly about direct port nitrous set up but the person telling me only knew the basics about it.
Does anyone have more information on this sort of set up? Could you please share what informaation or experience you have please? Thanks

Direct port is the way to go, I have a friend who is a regular at the track and he has direct port on one of his Camaro's that he races. Ton of power and it looks mean as h*ll too!

If you are looking at spraying anything 200hp or below my first suggestion would be to go with a plate system. You really don't start seeing the major benefit of a direct port till 200+hp even though you can take a direct port down to 100hp. The best thing about a direct port is the distribution that you get from having it. Instead of having to spray through the neck of the intake you are actually putting a nozzle for every cyl netting a complete even cyl distribution.
Every car has a hot cyl meaning that one cyl will run hotter than all the rest. The fix for this in a plate or nozzle form would be to 1. put a colder plug in that one cyl or 2. run an overall richer setup to compensate for the hot cyl. A direct port however allows you to tune each cyl individually because there is a nozzle for every cyl. Once you have found the hot cyl you can change the tuneup in that one cyl while leaving the tune for the rest alone.
200hp or below - Plate
200+hp - Direct port

Good to know, putting additional 200HP to my motor will require some forged insides right?

It would be better to have forged internals at that level but we have had several customers and myself included put 200hp on the stock motors. Some have blown and some are still surviving today. It can be done but i wouldn't suggest it.
