Can someone with experience on DIC Code P0327 Knock Sensor respond and let me know what causes this and what direction I need to go to get this taken care of, it just came up yesterday. Thanks

I can tell you that 80% of the time water intrusion under the intake has deterioted the front knock sensor, usually from using a power sprayer to clean the engine.

More then likely you'll have to replace the front knock sensor, GM has a TB out to also build a "damn" of high temp silicone around the knock sensor to keep water away from the sensor...

I wanted to thank you for helping me out. I got antsy yesterday and took it to my friends place and he has a nice lift and was a mechanic for many years. Well after looking and listening for a few minutes he pretty much told me what you just said! Well I called up my wife to come pick me up and I left my car there so he could fix it. I should be able to pick it up today he said! I wish I was able to diagnos my own cars problems, but I know to get to that point as you are you have to be doing this stuff for awhile! Well that is why there are forums like this so that the rest of us that just drive the Vettes can get answers and help without having to deal with the shops all the time!!

Glad to help, I'm not a mechanic but I've owned Vettes all my life and have always worked on them myself... And YES this is a great part of these Forums everyone helping each other out.

Make sure your buddy puts in the silicone barrier to prevent that new knock sensor from burning out!

I am going to refresh this thread incase that fellow didn't see you remind him of the silicone barrier so the new sensor won't get damaged! That is great advice!
