I a college student who doesn't have a ton of extra money sitting around that needs new brake pads. I have new drilled and slotted rotors but need new pads. I would like some pads that can offer a little better performance. Go figure I'm asking to spend least amount of money and get better brakes! Hey thanks everyone, I'm a new guy so I can get a little slack right?

James, just go get some Hawk pads. They are relatively cheap yet they are still of good quality. Good luck while your in school!

:iagree: Hawks are good stuff, especially the Ceramics.
If they are still too much just get any pads from like Advance Auto, NAPA ect... they'll be dirtier but for the street you'll be just fine.
Keep in mind that your Vette really is just a car, no need to stress over getting the very best of the best if you can't afford it...

:iagree: The hawks are still a bit higher in cost than others so if that is the case then absolutely go to one of your local auto stores and just pick up a set of their basic pads. They will be fine!

Hawks are all I use, I just find that they aren't the most expensive or the cheapest but they do well for my driving and they seem to last a decent while.
