Hi All,
We had this posted up before but it was lost in the server crash.

We installed a GMPP LS376/480HP crate engine in our customers car. He has had a very enjoyable experience with the car now as the old engine was just getting tired. He wanted his 2000 Vette Convertible to have a "New Lease On Life" and be enjoyable for the next 100K+ miles.

Well here are the results through the A4 Automatic:

We can replicate this on your car as well. Give us a call for a quote.

We can do this swap for just about any generation. Obviously if you have an LS3 already, there isn't much point as the LS376/480 is an LS3 with a cam & spring change.

You would need to check with a referee station to be absolutely sure, but if I remember correctly, a later engine/transmission into an earlier vehicle is generally considered OK by a referee station as long as the later engine's smog equipment is intact and the engine came from the same vehicle type. You couldn't swap a truck engine into a car for example but you could swap a car engine into a truck.

And there's less overall smog equipment on the LS3. :D

The LS376/480 would not be "emissions legal" unless GM has applied for an exemption through CARB.

That's the way I understand the California smog laws to be. As long as the smog equipment goes with the later engine, it's ok.
