Hi all, I'm new to this forum. Today I got a ticket for my windows being tinted, then he wrote me a ticket for no front license plate (I'm in Cali). I didn't know you could get a ticket for that?? Any way I was surfing around and came across this site and figured I would ask you all!
While on the subject please share your stories about getting pulled over!

They'll get you for that! Front plate is required in most states. As far as tickets hmmm... couple years ago got one for doing 48 in a 30!

Messing around on HWY got ticket for 97MPH in 65MPH. 2 points, legal cost to get reduced - lesson learned (BOUGHT RADAR DETECTOR... HA HA HA, joking).

I received a ticket in my daily driver (Chevy pickup), luckly I have not been picked up in the Vette! The tint ticket you received should be a "fix it" ticket, I had a friend whom received a ticket for tinted windows... all he had to do was remove the tint by his court day and pay a small fine. License plate - I have no experience and would know what to say on that one?

I got pulled over last year for doing 14 miles over the speed limit (Clocked at 69MPH), the officer was so friendly and was more admiring my car and let me go! I normally watch my speed and was careless and was lucky!

If you get two speeding tickets in california your insurance doubles. which happen to me. So I was wondering if anybody had any information on the escort 9500ci radar detector.

Welcome to SV first of all! No tickets on my Vette yet! I'm not going out there driving to get myself one. I'll bring it up to speed quickly and that is about it. I had a fun youthful dumb stage and got it out of my system. As for the front plate, I have one but it's not on the car. Not a fan of putting it up there. They can give me a ticket on that! I might actually get my plates switched to my home of record for that car though so I don't have to worry about it! Here is the tint specs below for California!
Can I put after-market tinting on the windows of my vehicle?
The main requirements for legal window tinting in California are:
1. The windshield and front driver's side and passenger's side windows cannot receive any aftermarket tinting.
2. If the rear window of a vehicle is tinted, the vehicle must have outside rearview mirrors on both sides.

No speeding tickets. Ticket 3 years ago by over zealous cop out to get all corvettes (his words); he didn't even know if I had a front plate...he pulled me over, ran to the front and looked; he didn't like the plate mounted on the National Corvette Museum's bracket on the air dam below the bumper. Long story short, court magistrate dismissed the charge (improper display of front plate). Nevertheless, I now have Top Flight Reproductions removable bracket. I have a nice vanity plate, so I really don't mind putting it on.
