I'm looking at one of these Preditor tuners for my '07 C6 and was wondering after the tune from this thing how much HP could I possibly pick up from it?

The tunes for the 07 C6 will gain about 15-20 rwhp depending on octane available, but they will also increase throttle response, improve shift feel and allow you to dial in the tune for future mods if needed.

Thanks

I have tried hand helds on my 05 2500HD, 04 Z06, and Cadillac CTS-V. I can't tell a differance except for shifting on the 2500HD improved. I will do a custom tune on a stock vehicle for $400. Better deal that you will feel

Did you end up picking the Preditor up? What were your results? Did you get the gains you expected? How easy was this to use?

:iagree: healthy gains indeed. Diablo are these gains across the board? I have '05. How easy are these to pick up and use?

Takes maybe 5 minutes.

Gains are across the entire rpm range, yes.

Thanks

Even most of the really bad handhelds out there make quite a noticeable difference on most any diesel application, and I know for a FACT, that if you tune a Duramax with a Predator, even on just the lowly 40 HP towing tune, you WILL know it is there!!

And since you offered, how do your customers get back to the stock tune should the need arise to go to the dealership for any reason?

Do they have any ability to datalog the car after your $400 tune?

Can they read/clear trouble codes as part of this $400 tuning service?

Makes the Predator out to be a heck of a deal....no? Almost like getting the tunes for free...

Thanks
Mike

be sure to join diablo's forums as well... there is a wealth of information available over there, and tutorials on how to make adjustments, get your tune dialed in, etc etc...

Here's their GM forum...

In regards to this statement : And since you offered, how do your customers get back to the stock tune should the need arise to go to the dealership for any reason?
Don't worry ?????? GM knows from scanning your computer that a predator tune was installed and removed! I know.Happened to me.They know because the computer records each time the factory tune was removed.I even saw printout at dealership.:ownedbutton:

Sounds like the vehicle was flashed with something else if the CVN changed, or your Predator was on a very old revision, from before we added this feature.

Thanks

How customizable are these things? Do most just use a stock tune from the unit or will most adjust as they see fit? What I'm trying to figure out is how easy or hard is this thing to use?

What I'm trying to figure out is how easy or hard is this thing to use? :cheers:There are lots of users on our forums who spend lots of time logging and adjusting their tunes, but probably 90% of our users simply plug the tool in, load one of the tunes, and go.

There is plenty of room for adjustment, so its simple to dial in most bolt-on combos.

Thanks

correct... just restore the original backup stock tune to the car before going in for any dealer/service work, and you're good to go...

to do that, you'd go to OPTIONS > TROUBLESHOOTING > RESTORE ORIGINAL BACKUP
