I vacuumed the A/C down added 1 can of charge oil, and 3 cans of 134a. She blows cold for about 25 minutes or so and the light on the A/C button flashes a few times and goes out and compressors cuts out. Wait about 30 minutes and it works again only to repeat the process. I'm thinking the pressure switch mounted on the line(the small one) any ideas?

What does the specifications call for? 3 cans or 3 pounds? To really know what's happening inside, you need to put a set of gauges on it.

The service manual calls for 1.625lb. How much is 3 cans? It sounds like something is overheating. OP, is this something you are qualified to do or did you just wing it?

I was just winging it, it started with the valve stem leaking so I bought a new one at AZ to replace it. When I took the old one out all of the freon shot out in my face, so I vac'd it and put 1 oil and 3 134a's. I don't know how to read gauges. I guess I'd better get to a repair shop.

Dude, you may have made a easy fix an expensive one! This is not a area of the car to wing it. Replacing the floor mats, yes. AC system? Nooooooooooooo!

I learned this the hard way and had to have a new AC compressor and a few other parts replaced! Never again will I try to do something I am not sure of!
