What can I expect a shop to charge to install a hardened output shaft in my C6?

I just found out it's not a DIY'er job so might as well get the feelers out to see what sort of cost I might be looking at.

:thumbsup3:

Might as well get both right and left. there about $250 apiece.

To drop the cradle labor is $400. Take one shaft off, take to bench and swap it for the hardened and hour so $100.

So maybe $500 or more

Thanks for help, so are you saying total cost is roughly around $250 each or $250 plus the $500?

Start over just one shaft.
Drop cradle and then reinstall $400
One shaft part $250
install one shaft $100
Total = $750

but my rear end cradle has always been out for something so the shafts were just an additional item

Maybe the tire can be taken off, then the components to take the hub off and then put the new shaft in. so the cradle wouldnt have to be dropped. I would say thats doable but it would be say $100 or so less.
