Not sure if this counts but I have a Gtech Pro and have been playing around with this thing and got 12.36 Quarter mile @ 121MPH. I don't know how accurate this thing is, but sure is fun! I have an 2007 Coupe with Kooks headers, Corsa sports, 170 thermostat, running on 93 Octane with a bottle of NOS Octane booster.

One of these days going to get to real track to see how accurate this Gtech deal is.

I have heard mixed reviews on those things. I have had some tell me that they are dead on and others who have said they are close and good for a "gauge"? This jury is still out to lunch.

I got a Gtech for Christmas, haven't taken it out of the box yet? Didn't know anything about these things prior. Can't wait to test it out! Good time!

I was looking at getting one of those myself, Summit has it for $199, if its even close to good numbers, why not?

Most will tell you these are a "gray" area, good for reference only. Pretty close on the numbers also. I personally like 'em, for $200 bucks why not? :)

That really does not sound right as far as trap speed goes. My car currently traps 120-121 at the track and so far my best on a Drag Radial was a 11.50 @120 with a 1.63 sixty foot... i guess if you had a TERRIBLE launch on stock tires im assuming its correct. Were you launching the car hard at all?
i would like one of these things as well... but i think its too much money IMO

I'd find a used one on ebay for $30-40 and play with that before spending that much money on something that may only be half right. There not a bad little unit and can be a help in tuning, but in 1/4 mile times, its iffy......

The GTech meter mph numbers tend to be off since they use the absolute mph at the end of the 1/4 mile rather than taking the average over the last 66 ft. like at the track. So the G Tech numbers will always be higher at the track. Gtech is a good reference for changes you make to the car, some people get close to the et numbers at the track some don't. If you used just as a reference for changes and you can't get to the track, it's usually worth it.

In the defense of the OP My car is the same way. bigger MPH
than time.
I cant get 295 BFG DRs to hook up I have to leave off idle
or I smoke the DRs till 1/8 mile, almost hit the wall last nite.
No track prep. It was so bad no one was lining up in the left
lane. There were very few people at the track last nite.
I got 7 runs in, its usually not that good.
The ones that were there were trying to qualify for PINKS
at E-town

those times sound correct for what you have, the G tech should be accurate to a 10th of a second.
