Mounting a FOB system out of a newer C6 into a C5? I found a C6 in a junk yard and is seriously thinking about this. Just don't know how much of the wiring harness and such I will need. Clearly the switch which I assume has your standard wires coming into it, then you have the FOB signal receiver/transmitter somewhere? What else would be needed.

Also has anyone done this? How did it work out after? I have a '04 Z and think this would be a very cool mod to do. I know I haven't seen anyone who has done this. :thumbsup3:

I prefer the key over thos FOB's that I hear so many problems about. I would bet you would need a lot more than just the switch and those other items. I believe all that is plugged into the cars computer. This would be a challenge to get working correctly.

I like the key ignition, I have a friend with a C6 and I really prefer the key start more. :p

Can that even be done? I'm no mechanic but think that would be a difficult job to get them to match.

It can be done, there was a thread about this long time ago. If I remember correctly it wasn't 100% the same as in a C6.
