Is anyone running a ported fast intake? How do you like it? Can you feel a change?

Is anyone running a ported fast intake? How do you like it? Can you feel a change?
I do have a match ported Fast 90 on my 402 stroker, the only bad part is that I can't tell you wether or not I could feel the difference because I put everything in all at once when I built the motor. Tony Mamo did the porting and you could really tell the difference from the stock one to his ported one. I have read that you do get a very nice bump in power ranging from 10-20hp just from the porting!:thumbsup:

I am doing the fast as my next mod, and I do plan on getting it ported out. I have done some pretty good research on the subject and have found that in every case there was a very healthy amount of additional power that was seen!:) Joe.

I am running a ported stock intake. I got 16 extra horse power from doing this. I can only imagine that if you have a fast that your gains would be a whole lot better.

Right know I am running a stock ported intake, and heard that there is a BIG difference in the throttle response.

The ported Fast 90 and ported LS2tb WAS in my future. I recently saw one that was installed in exchange of an LS6 manifold and ported LS1tb. Both had been ported by one of the big name porters. It gained all of 5rwhp and 9tq. At a cost of well over a grand, I don't think it's worth it. I've heard of most of these getting 20-25rwhp, 5 was a dissapointment. I may just have to check out the new composite Weiand that's coming out. The car it was on was a tuned 451rwhp and 411tq, and after tuning adjustments with Fast combo 456 rwhp and 420tq. Just a thought...:huh:

I had my Fast and TB match ported by Tony Mamo from AFR. Tony is the one who also customized the 205 heads and designed the cam that are on my 402. That seems a bit low for what it it, and if it is true than I would agree with you in that it wouldn't be worth it at all! Not for how much the fast is!

How did you feel about the fast intake on your car?Did you feel a difference, and pick up any hp??

I had a buddy of mine just put on a ported fast 90/90 intake and TB. He is still on stock z06 heads. He picked up18 hp. I have not heard of anyone who has not said that they picked up hp gains of 18-28 hp based on their mods.
