A friend of mine and his son races gokarts Charlotte Speedway in Punta Gorda, Florida. The karts they have really move out. It looks like a lot of fun and is certainly less expensive then racing your car on a track.

Yes I'm serious. They're not your typical gokart. These things are unbelievable and a lot of fun to drive.

125 cc shifter karts can do 0-60 and back to 0 in about 6 seconds. If you want the best, with ported engine, on-board computer and the rest, you will spend about $10,000. If you want something to go out and have fun, you will spend in the neighborhood of $3500+.

That is me from a couple of years ago.
I have driven every kind of kart from a laydown, to a 4 stroke, to a 250cc at Texas World Speedway.
And oh yeah, it is less than 2 inches from the ground.

That looks like a good time either way, 10,000 for a gokart? I assume that must be like the Ferrari of gokarts?

That's just for good, dependable equipment.
These are pretty advanced pieces of machinery.

Either way, i-m-p-r-e-s-s-i-v-e, that would be fun ripping around a track in one of those. How often you race?
