I was going to move from 2.73's to 3.15's. Then I was told I might be happier going with 3.42's?? Will the 3.15's be a big difference or will I need to go to the 3.42's? Thanks for the heads up on this one!

If you are going to do gears, I would suggest that you go to the 3.42's. This will make a real noticable difference then just going to the 3.15's. Also the 3.42's will still be a nice all around ratio for you! Great choice of mod by the way!

I have the 3.15 in my 99 and my Dad has a 2.73 in his 04. At the time both were stock and I pulled away from him. It was great! What a day for me!

Go with the 3.42's or even 3.90's. Getrag makes a 3.73 gearset but they are pricey. Skip the 3.15's as the performance feel will be much better with a higher (numerically) gear ratio.

3.42 is a great choice and it won't really affect your gas mileage. If you don't care too much about gas mileage and top end performance than I say go for the 3.73 or 3.90. You will love the off the line take off is amazing.

If you already had 3.15s I would suggest going with a 3.73 or 3.90 or leaving it alone since you would not feel much of a difference between 3.15s and 3.42s. 3.42s would be a good upgrade since you have 2.73s:cheers:

:iagree: Best SOTP improvement you can do for your car. I have 3.42's.
