Yes you can clean them and they will be fine. Or as fine as they can be for the miles on them. :coffeetime: You need to find out why they sooted up in the first place. Are you getting any codes? Does the engine idel good or runs rough ? You may have a bad injector or two. After you clean the plugs and then drive the car for a few days then check the plugs again they should still be clean.:friday:

Could also be the computer. The " limp home " mode willresult in a rich condition. Could also be a vacum leak or even low compression
