I'm curious as to how much can really be down with the factory ECM.

I am having a 383 stroker put in this week and have a chip to go along with the motor.
But wondering how many variables can really be controlled by this new chip using the stock computer module.

I was surprise to see this section of the forum so empty unless there's really not much that can be done.

I had a 383 in my 84 with T.B's, ran like a banshe, pegged 148mph

I was surprise to see this section of the forum so empty unless there's really not much that can be done.

Everything adjustable; factory ECM has more parameters than most aftermarket setups but the interface is not so user friendly.
Just a VERY steep learning curve
Need some basic equipment to at least datalog engine so you can see what it is actually doing then a means of adjusting the tune.

i have a .030 over 350 crossfire injection and it runs great half of the time ? it runs great , lots of power and then it just runs like crap and doesnt want to acellerate , like its vapor lockin ? im lost .. about ready to put my tunnel ram and two 450 holleys on it and replace the distributor >>>>>

Sounds like you may need to get it tuned.
