I can't decide what I'm going to do with this car, I want more power and have been thinking about just getting a newer one. I have been watching for good deal on supercharger for a little while and just came across this one on ebay this morning. The seller has no other sales "0", so not to confortable about this, however I think paypal will protect the buyers?

What I wanted to check with you all is what is the highest you would bid on this? Here are the details that I have copied from the guys listing:

This is a Vortech Supercharger Kit from A&A Corvette (www.aacorvette.com) off of my '03 Corvette Z06. The kit is in excellent working condition and has 9k miles on it. The kit includes everything you need to bolt onto a 97-04 Corvette C5. The kit includes the supercharger, supercharger brackets, belt, 3 pulleys (5psi 7.5psi 9psi) air pump relocation kit, radiator support brackets, upper radiator support that is already modified to fit the supercharger kit, front air dam that is also already modified to fit, crankshaft pinning tool, 42lb injectors, Kenne Bell Booster Pump, all silicone hoses, clamps, piping, front mount intercooler, oil dipstick, new crankshaft bolt and I will include a detailed video of the supercharger removal. This should make the installation easier. I will also include pictures of the piping and wiring locations. I intend to leave as much of the piping together as possible to help with installation. The average back yard mechanic should be able to install this kit in a weekends time. This kit has since been modified by A&A so the lower radiator support doesn't need to be repositioned. The kit I am selling has to have the lower radiatio support repositioned. The good news is I have already done most of the work. If you do not want to do this you can contact A&A to get the new intake pipe and piping with the radiator shroud. This will retain the stock radiator location and make the installation easier. The only thing not included with the kit is the computer reprogramming. I am also including a modified pipe that fits between the intercooler and throttle body. You can relocate the bypass valve with this pipe but only if you are tuning with speed density instead of a mass air flow. If the winning bidder wants to go this route I will also include a new 2bar map sensor. You must flash your computer with a new tune to use this kit. This kit is a great power adder. I ran a best et of 10.77 @ 133mph with a conservative 1.63 60' time. This is not the original supercharger that came with the kit. The original was a V-1 which is way too loud at idle. The new supercharger is a V-2 SQ with helical gears and is quiet at idle. In the pictures for this auction I will show the new kit from A&A, a picture of the pipes and intercooler, the modified pipe with the bypass valve relocated, and some intstalled pictures. The pictures of my car have some extra items in the piping that are not included. I have a methanol nozzle and a seperate intake air temperature sensor in a silicone hose. I am playing with the methanol to see how much the intake air temp drops. The installation will look cleaner than these pic since I am experimenting with the methanol injection

Something like that I wouldn't buy used, you don't have the warranty that you would buying it new? Also i have purchased alot from Ebay, if someone is a "0", ESPECIALLY on a pricey item like this, I will not buy from them.

I tend to be of the same school. I would be very careful with a used SC. I would probably look at a Procharger D1sc or FI (for big boost applications) or a Novi before a Vortech. If your not doing big boost (8 lbs or less) you might elect to go with a APS twin turbo or Maggie or Kenne Bell. All build hp much faster than a centrif.

I have a centrif myself, but I'm running a high boost set up. If I was running 8 lbs or less I would stay away from centrif blowers. You need to rev them too high to feel the kick.
