Tuners: experts & novices ; Has anyone worked with both the HP tuning software & the LS2 Edit software?
Your thoughts on:
ease of use between them?
learning to use them?
applications such as tuning the C6 A6 TCM?
The reason I ask is that I was recently refused a TCM tune by a tuner (that shall remain nameless),who uses HP,because he finds the A6 troublesome or difficult to adjust.?

I would just find a different tuner. However the A6 is a VERY complex device and many are afraid to do anything to them. In some regards the A6 is harder to tune than the engine side of things.

As to tuning software: HP Tuners hands down.

You're right about that! unfortunately the choices are few here in western Canada.I may have to drive to the states to get what I need; Last night,on CF I read about a tuner out in New York(Corvettes of Westchester),that came up with a mail order tune for the '06,'07 A6s that updates them to the '08 programming plus his own added custom tune.It looks great!
BTW: I read your responses on the "learning to tune" thread. I just want to mention that, the hot rodding world could use more guys with your great attitude!!
Thanks for taking the time,& the kindness to share!

regards,

Joe
