Nice gains for a simple part. :thumbsup3: Can those be painted or powder coated?

Ported throttle bodies are $150 plus shipping, using your existing core.

Powdercoating could be done for an additional cost. I will see what I can do.

Man I paid nearly $190 for the one that I have  I don't think I got that much power gain. What determines the amount of power in these, or would the whole thing need to be replaced. I had mine polished so it might not give the performance that I though it would have given but it does look good.

Impressive power gains though :thumbsup3:

All porting is not created equal.

There is a lot of flow bench work to determine where to remove metal for best flow increases. A lot of people port these & make them look good, but this does not necessarily improve performance. It is all in the contour for proper transition into the intake.

This is where CNC work comes in handy, you work a prototype until you get the best flow possible, then digitize it & duplicate it with a CNC machine for very accurate repeatable results.

So,How does this work? I send you my TB with return shipping paid plus $150 & you send me back one these beauties for my C6?
Do you also port the FAST 92 intake?
Do you know how to mod these intakes so the firewall doesn't have to be cut to install them into a C6?

Regards,

JR

Yes,
You can send your throttle body to my machinist & he will modify & return your existing throttle body, ready to install.

You can port a FAST slightly, but that would not likely help much unless you have a larger engine installed. In that case, we could also provide this modification along with a larger 92 or 95mm billet throttle body. Your stock throttle body is a 90mm.

Never got into modding the car or intake for clearance yet.

Please call if you want to discuss in more detail.

Can you buy one and then send the original one on the car to you (core charge).

Yes, that is possible, but LS1 cores are $150 deposit & LS2, 3, & 7 are $300.

Cores must be postmarked within 5 days from receipt of ported throttle body & if the returned core is in suitable condition, the core charge will be refunded, less a $25 service fee. Turnaround time is dependent on availability of cores.

It looks like that would be faster, but more $$$$$ up front.
could I send mine over with return shipping, have it just exchanged for a ported one & send it back to me? wouldn't have to wait too long & would save some $ on shipping wouldn't it?

That is possible & it will be faster, assuming I have a ported one in stock at the moment.

As for shipping to Canada, I would need your complete address for a shipping quote.

Feel free to call me if you want to discuss in more detail.

Does it matter how the throttle body is ported? I had mine done awhile back and didn't see much gains, matter of fact I had a check engine light that came on and I had to ship the throttle body back to the guy who did the work and he sent me a new one? Then the check engine light went away with the new one 3 weeks later when that one came in. Mine didn't look no where near as nice as yours looks here.

How it is done is everything... a poorly done job can mess up idle quality, throttle response etc.

This is the reason for CNC work. You take a proven design & duplicate it to ensure they are all of the same dimensions. You can never duplicate something like this when porting by hand.

We have had good luck with these & the price is much less than buying a new throttle body.
