: C6 Fuel system?
StudentDriver 03-11-2009, 10:10 AM Hey guys how much HP is the stock fuel system in a C6 good for? Does it make a difference where the HP is coming from? What I'm wondering is if a nitrous system when activated will push the fuel system beyond what it is capible of handling.
VetteOnTheRun 03-11-2009, 01:46 PM Can't help you on the nitrous side of things but I believe the stock fuel systems are able to handle nearly 600 to 650 rwhp before you start getting yourself into fuel issues.
I might be off on this so hopefully one of the tuners jumps in on this question.
Lonnies Performance 03-11-2009, 06:27 PM I have seen the stock fuel systems hold up to a good 600rwhp+ as stated above. Nitrous & forced induction setups generally consume more fuel due to the rich mixtures involved compared to running normally aspirated.
If you run a big nitrous shot using a wet kit, there can also be problems with a large initial fuel pressure drop due to the rear fuel tank mounted regulator. This is a fault of the factory fuel system design.
Generally for 150hp kits or less, you should be OK.
If in doubt, try to err on the safe side as broken engine parts are much more expensive than fuel systems.
If you are looking for a big HP system, I offer a dual intank setup for the C6 that will support 1000rwhp. This pump setup can be complimented with a kit that includes braided lines, fuel rails, regulator & billet filter for a custom race quality setup.
tims2006c6 03-11-2009, 06:31 PM GReat info Lonnie!
Lonnies Performance 03-11-2009, 06:37 PM I'm new to the board & trying to get my vendor info setup very soon.
I've been building custom dual intank fuel systems for many GM performance applications. These include Corvette, Camaro, GTO & GM Trucks, H2's etc.
I'll be here to provide tech support for all your fueling needs.

DynamicTuningSolutions 03-12-2009, 01:20 AM We have one of Lonnies systems and it is awesome! Thanks Lonnie for making a serious fuel system for serious HP addicts. :thumbsup3:
Lonnies Performance 03-12-2009, 06:11 AM Glad you liked it & if I can help with any other projects, please let me know.
We are now offering kits for C4's, C5's & C6's
What kind of numbers did you put down with it? I'm trying to put together a customer car showcase, so any pictures/feedback is appreciated.

WOW great information, thank you! So I think I will keep under the 150HP shot of Nitrous to play it safe. Actually I'm thinking about playing it real safe and just go with a 100 shot.
