Nate C4 03-09-2009, 11:01 AM just got it. was sitting for 6 years change all the fuilds and primed the engine. got it to turn over but no fuel changed the fuel filter and got fuel now has fuel press. after is starts it just turns. let it sit and it starts for a sec or so. Fuel pump:1zhelp:Capital letters and punctuation are your friends. It makes it much easier for the people you are asking for help to understand the problem. The fuel pump is supposed to run for 2 seconds after the key is turned to "On" to prime and pressurize the fuel system. Is that happening? Since it starts, the fuel pump isn't totally dead. The ECM with the help of the relay is supposed to keep the pump running as long as the engine is turning. Probably the first step in understanding what is going on, is to monitor the fuel pressure through out the cycle. Check the pressure and report the pressure and any changes while running or as it is dying. RACE ON!!! khan2305 03-10-2009, 02:51 PM Hope you get it fixed buddy! If everything is working properly, the only thing that will stop the engine when the oil pressure goes away is the engine seizing. RACE ON!!! 85L98-84L83 03-13-2009, 01:48 PM Absolutely NOT!
