I have a new hood release cable for my 85. I have looked and looked to find the location of where the cable goes thru the firewall to attach it to the release handle on the drivers left.
Seems like a very simple project, but cant find where to send it through in order to get the cable to the handle.
Driving me nuts, can someone let me know where this runs through the wall....
I would greatly appreciate any information you might have on this project.

Trying very hard not to be mean :-P My first reaction was I thought this was a joke....Seriously though...its a cable. One would think you'd just trace the existing ones back from the latch.

Then I started thinking....I suppose cables could be missing, but one would think that the handle is RIGHT there and just shine a light through from the handle area. Of course, whoever remover the cables may have left the rubber grommet in place and thats why you cant find the hole! From what others have said its a PIA to get that grommet through the firewall...one guy on another board mentioned that with help from Gorden Killebrew it took hours!:doh:
