I had a leak coming from the power steering ram and replaced it. In front of the ram I have a leak coming from one of the connections I used regular old plumbers tape on the hose threads. It stopped the leak however I'm no really sure this tape was meant for this and wanted to see if this will hold or will the oil break this down and then it will start leaking again? any help would be appreciated please.
thanks

If you are reffering to the teflon tape, it will do the job.

those should be a Flare type fitting on the ram, but if its leaking maybe the threads are bunged up or something? just a guess

Good point Grimbo. Another thing, as you tighten the fittings, give them a little wiggle, it helps to assure that the flare fittings seat well.
