Blair Holt Firearm Licensing
& Record of Sale Act
2-16-9

0A
Very Important for you to be aware of a new bill HR 45 introduced into the
House.
This is the Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sale Act of 2009.
We just learned yesterday about this on the Peter Boyles radio program.
Even gun shop owners didn't know about this because it is flying under the
radar.
To find out about this - go to any government website and type in HR 45 or
Google HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sales Act of 2009. You
will get all the information.
Basically this would make it illegal to own a firearm - any rifle with a
clip or ANY pistol unless:
.It is registered
.You are fingerprinted
.You supply a current Driver's License
.You supply your Social Security #
.You will submit to a physical & mental evaluation at any time of their
choosing
.Each update - change or ownership through private or public sale must be
reported and costs $25 - Failure to do so you automatically lose the right
to own a firearm and are subject up to a year in jail.
.There is a child provision clause on page 16 section 305 stating a
child-access provision. Gun must be locked and inaccessible to any child
under 18.
They would have the right to come and inspect that you are storing your gun
safely away from accessibility to children and fine is punishable for up to
5 yr s. in prison.
If you think this is a joke - go to the website and take your pick of many
options to read this. It is long and lengthy. But, more and more people are
becoming aware of this. Pass the word along. Any hunters in your family -
pass this along.
Peter Boyles is on this and having guests. Listen to him on K.H.O.W. 6:30
a.m. in the morning. He suggests the best way to fight this is to tell all
your friends about it and "spring into action". Also he suggests we all join
a pro-gun group like the Colorado Rifle Association, hunting associations,
gun clubs and especially the NRA.
This is just a "termite" approach to complete confiscation of guns and
disarming of our society to the point we have no defense - chip away a
little here and there until the goal is accomplished before anyone realizes
it.
This is one to act on whether you own a gun or not.
If you take my gun, only the criminal will have one to use against me. HR 45
only makes me/us less safe. After working with convicts for 26 years I know
this bill, if passed, would make them happy and in less danger from their
victims.

I am so tired of hearing about anti gun this and that. I don't even own a gun but I tell you what the day the government tells me I can't have a gun that there taking that freedom away from me is the day they have one hell of a fight on there hands. To tell me that I can't own a gun but they will let me go borrow theres when I go overseas HA.

Very few here did but they sure are proud of themselves for it. Let's see how proud they are after a couple of years of it. Hide and watch, Conservative Republicans will take back the Senate and the House in 2010. I just hope obama does not have us all in the poorhouse by then.

It sucks looking at everything thats going on. I will not be taxed any more because of all this, I will even make somthing like 10 bucks extra a month but, I will see people being taxed to help me out and keep me from losing my house and my job. Wait a minute as a 23 yr old man I made a good decision and didn't but a house I couldnt afford I stayed within my budget and made sound decisions, but now for all those out there that went beyond there means and did nothing to better themselfs we are going to bring those that made great decisions troughout there life and bring them down. What ever happened to helping out the guy thats down now its lets bring down the guy on top

Get some instruction and an idea of what you like. For instance rent a few at a local gun range and try before you buy. Also be willing to spend some decent money and buy a good gun that will last. My prefrence is Glocks,Springfield,Kimber.
Read up on guns and safety and learn to be responsible. Gun ownership isnt like anything else you own.Theres a lot of responsibilitiy to owning and being a good citizen. Then I cant stress enough that gun safety is the most important.Gun safety is between your ears. The NRA has tons of information on shooting and even guns.Yes you will have to wade through membership pages asking you to join but the info is there. Its hard to reccomend a gun you have to find what appeals to you and what you like to shoot. Theres so many styles to fit so many hands and calibers. Why I say try a rental or hang with some friends that have different guns and will let you try thiers. In the end you have to live with it so be sure in your purchase. I sold guns for many years in the gunshop and I'm a life member of the NRA and own quite and extensive collection.Be sure also if your married to talk this over with your wife to get her feelings. Also maybe after getting involved in a range you can get her hooked too. I have seen too many times guys bring back a gun for a refund because the wife said no and even suffered a divorce over this. Any questions I'm here to help.

I myself carry a Colt Defender 45 ACP while my wife packs a little Ruger SP101 357 Mag. As far as shotguns go for hunting I love my Ruger Gold Label, they are hard to find and going for around 4 grand now. I gave 2 for mine about 3 years ago. The Ruger Red Label is hard to beat also and you can find them used for around 900 to 1200. For a shotgun to keep around the house I would look into just a cheap Rem. 870 or something along those lines.

I just bought a Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm last week. Very sweet, 2 17 round mags and easy to be very accurate. My wife shot it, she's a dead-on bullseye shooter and gave it a :thumbsup3: .

As for the shotgun, just look at price point I'd say.

An AR15 with a 40 round clip would be nice.
.45s have wonderful knock down power. Damage to the centeral nerves system causes knockdown. The army tested a .45 against a 9mm and the .45 knocked the cow down faster.
I like them all .

Guys, I hate to get up on a :soapbox: , but Obama and the Dems are going after alot more than your guns. They are currently attacking free speech, attempting to prevent tax deductions for charitable contributions by folks who make more than $250K, raise energy "fees" (not taxes) that will be passed down to the consumer, restrict funds distribution to religious organizations, and demand national "service" for every American between the ages of 20 - 26. And this is just the beginning.....
Hopefully, Congress can prevent most of this.

:iagree: but I would also suggest that the OP and his wife find and attend a gun safety course. If you are obtaining the guns for self defense, I would strongly recommend taking a course on using guns for self defense.

Its easy women dont know it but they are born better shooters. We men control the gun and women just let the gun do what it was designed to do. A woman with a gun is far more deadly and sexy lol.

Well I think I am going to pass on the shotgun now. I think I might get a xd .45 and then an ar15. i should have no problems with the m-4 clone well since its all I ever get to play with.

Wish they would let me get a .50 cal machine gun lol a gau 16 mounted in my garage would be one heck of a deterant. 800 plus .50 cal rounds per minute.

Maybe I should take some time and start learning about hand guns instead of fully automatic machine guns

Oh and on that note I am A MARINE, I would hope after my time in the service I would have figured out not to point my weapon at anything I do not fully intend to shoot. And the wife has been handling guns longer than I have, Although a course is required to conceal carry here in NC it is also an open carry state so most likly no classes involved

I have a gun in the bedroom, in my office, in my car and on my person. If and when they come after my guns all they have to do is man up and try to take them. Oh yeah...and one in my golf bag. You never when you might want to shoot a birdie or two. :woowoo:

It is a serious thing and they are presenting stuff all the time that affects our enjoyment of our Vettes too.

When I cruised timber in Montana and Nothern
Idahoe I carried a Smith & Wesson .44 mag.
It was very heavy , But we were in grizzly country. We did see The Horrible beast in the Wilderness. :toilet:
