How many of you who don't have run flats carry a can of Fix a flat in your trunk cubby? Is there any risk of this can blowing up from high exhaust heat?

Nah. I do carry a small scissor jack, electric air pump which plugs into lighter adaptor, a slime plug kit and the tools necessary to remove the wheel if needed.
I also am a AAA member and could call for a tow if the situation dictated.

Fix-A-Flat is a good way to ruin a rim. That stuff adheres to the innersurface of the rim and can make it difficult to balance the wheel.

I carry a Slime compressor kit and a plug kit (both readily available at Wally World). Slime is alot safer than Fix A Flat (no pressurized can), and it doesnt have the adverse effects on your tires and rims that Fix A Flat does. I'm also an AAA member, so that covers the situations I cant handle.

Fix-a-flat is bad news. Sticks to everything inside your tires and can cause balancing issues. Also, some shops refuse to work on tires that have that stuff in it. I carry a portable compressor and a plug kit for emergencies.
