Anything can be put into anything, but the factory roller cams are not a direct replacement for the flat tappet cams. Also you don't have a cam driven water pump or distributor. Depending on what you really want, it will likely cost more to adapt that LTx cam than to buy the right parts from the start.

L83 350. Flat tappet cam
Any SBC parts from 1957-1985 will fit
Maybe not the right ones but they will fit:thumbsup3:
Look for a cam listed as flat tappet , not hyd roller
Summit , Jegs and any other place that sells perf parts.

Good luck using the block, crank, or oil pan, each alone with out using all three in a pre 1986 assembly. Other than that, pre 1957, back to 1955, SBC parts interchange also.

Because of the injection system your motor is called an L83, but underneath the crossfire injection, it is just a 1st gen small block, anything from 86 back will work.

Except as stated above, the 1986 block, crank, oil pan, and (which I forgot, above), the flywheel, or flexplate. Chevy went to the one piece rear main seal in 1986, which changed those parts. The aluminum heads (interchangeable, watch the CR) were phased in during the 1986 model year and the roller cam (not directly interchangeable) came in 1987.
