Hey guys whats a good shift kit to use on 03? Where did you get and how did it feel after the install compared to prior?
How large of a task are we talking?
Thank you very much,
Steve

We've never done a shift kit on a C5. Everything that needs to be modified to control shift points, firmness and speed can be adjusted with tuning software and a laptop. I'd recommend going to someone with a eddy-current type chassis dyno, a wideband oxygen sensor and the knowledge on how to properly perform a full custom dyno tune on your vehicle. I wouldn't recommend a mail order tune just because variables such as transmission line pressure can be dependant on personal preferences (what is too firm for you might not be enough for someone else) and they might need to be adjusted to meet your standards.

Might be a easy answer but what is a shift kit?

Appreciate the help David any chance you know of any good tuners in Oklahoma area that you have worked with before?

I agree go into the tuning software and bump up the pressure. A shiftkit is OK on a builtup transmission were they put in a hard insert in were the ball hits. Other wise on a stock tranny the ball is hitting into aluminum and after a while the ball will were out the aluminum seat.

BINGO! Had mine adjusted with the dynotuning. It is cool as hell! The guy said something about the torque management.

On GM Trucks with the 4L60 series I would get the TransGo shift kit but a Vette already has good stuff inside.
Not to say that a quality performance built transmission is not a good idea but behind a stock/mostly stock car there isn't that much benefit.
