Heres the info on HER..........
All mechanical work on # 00521 was performed in SoCal. by 3 famed 'old school' Corvette racers:
-Chuck Hance (Coast Corvette)
-Doug Hooper
-Dick Guldstrand (Guldstrand Motorsports)
This super rare '83 & 1/2', still has the very rare minor build differences specific to the very
earliest C-4 '83 & 1/2' cars that differentiate them from the later 1984s. and Very well tuned,
Vin # 00521 got the following new parts over the past decade or so:
- Rebuild of engine top end (by 'Z.Z. John' Gallagher)
- Adjusted ride height, lowered C of G. 2" in rear and 1" in front
- new front composite spring
- new Bilstein Z-51 shocks
- new steering rack
- B&M transmission shift kit
- Z51 Performance Handling Package
- Random Technology Catalytic Converter
- TPIS Flowmaster ZR-1 cat back 3" exhaust
- AFS ZR-1 style 17" wheels
- 315 Goodyear GSC's
- adjusted engine timing
- new fuel injectors
- synchronized Cross-Fire fuel injection
- new electronic dash (2)
- new ecu
- A/C freon conversion (R-14 to R-134)
- regular alignments
- regular oil changes (2 months)
- regular tune ups (4 months)
& numerous little things...
- Slotted, cryoed, 12" Australian DBA Brake Rotors
- Corvette Grand Sport Calipers
the FIRST C-4 with a glass top in California as well as the first GOLD C-4 on the West Coast, it also comes with BOTH tops, (Gold and Glass).
this vette still retains the SUPER HEAVY DUTY Z-51 'race spring' setup, it is a very well handling car...
Having the earliest known vin 'survivor' C-4 in the world is a great feeling... it's an even better feeling when the car still looks good and runs as well as this one does.
00521 is duly registered as a 1984.
Ordered in 1982 as a 1983 (on the order sheet), It may be the lowest vin, unbutchered '84 'SURVIVOR qualifying'
(everything important as it should be) car.
This car was signed by Dave McLlelan.

C-4 # 00521 was built 1/31/83, the very 1st week of C-4 production, shortly after the C-4 'pilot cars'.
Out of the 1 million Corvettes built # 00521 received the singular honor of being picked by National Corvette Museum reps to represent the '84 model year at Corvette's 50th Anniversary Party. (2002 Monterey Historic Races at Laguna Seca Raceway).

This is a very, very, early 1984 Year Corvette.
Outside of internal GM vehicles, there were NO 1983 Corvettes.
00521 is duly registered as a 1984.
It was however ordered in 1982 as a 1983 (on the order sheet).
It may be the lowest vin, unbutchered '84 'SURVIVOR qualifying' (everything important as it should be) car.
In years past these very early 1984 production cars have been called 1983.5s in various Corvette magazines.
This was due to several design anomalies these earliest 1984 cars (alone) shared with the 1983, however, there are NO actual 1983s that were available to the public. Period.
This car was signed by Dave McLlelan.
Classic! The bag of chips and more!
